We caught up with Giagos during fight week for a few off-the-cuff questions, and he obliged us with candid answers.
“If I could spar with anyone in history it would have to be the [WWE’s] Undertaker or…Spider-Man!,” he says. He was serious. “Because that’s who I looked up to as a kid.”
To those looking to get into the fight game, Giagos, who made his UFC debut in 2016, says new fighters should diversify their skillset. “Don’t focus on just one skill like striking, wrestling, jiu-jitsu. Make sure to be good at all of them!”
As for losing, “Losses are lessons,” he says. “Make sure you can deal with it properly.”
And what flavor of Kill Cliff beverage would he like to see created?
“Pistachio,” he says. “Or a cola flavor. That’d be good.”
Yes it would!
