While Kill Cliff Fight Club athletes enjoy a restful weekend, they'll be supporting teammate Jared Gordon as he takes on Jim Miller in the lightweight bout at UFC Fight Night. Gordon stepped up on short notice to replace another fighter. Learn more about this intriguing showdown.
It’s a calm weekend at the Kill Cliff Fight Club. While KCFC fighters rest and rehydrate (with their favorite flavor of Kill Cliff Energize x Recover beverage), they’ll be watching teammate Jared Gordon on the big screen at the gym on Saturday take on Jim Miller in the lightweight bout of the main card at UFC Fight Night: Kara-France vs. Albazi. Gordon was going to have the weekend off but was happy to be called up a few weeks ago to replace Slovak L’udovít Klein to face Miller.
You can see it live Saturday from the APEX in Las Vegas at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN+; prelims begin at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN.
Here’s the tale of the tape:
Jim “A-10” Miller is the most prolific fighter in UFC history, with this weekend’s bout being his 42 since his debut in, what?, 2008 (!), an astonishing number given the runner up only has 39, which, by the way, is how old Miller is. In those years he has landed 1,551 strikes, making him fourth in the promotion. He’s won three of his last four outings and has won the Fight of the Night trophy twice out of eight nominations. His career pro record is 35-17, with an 8-fight win streak as his high.
Jared “Flash” Gordon, 34, on the other hand, is coming off a December 2022 loss to fan-favorite Paddy “the Baddy” Pimblett and a no-contest in April, when he and Bobby Green clashed heads accidentally. Before that it was an August 2022 win, an April 2022 loss, and a three-win streak (his career high is nine in a row). Gordon joined UFC in 2017 and is 4-2. His career pro record is 19-6, with that one NC.
