Ilia Topuria, representing KCFC, is set to headline a televised main event at UFC Fight Night: Emmett vs. Topuria, facing off against Josh Emmett. Both fighters have impressive records and a history of strong performances, making this featherweight battle highly anticipated. Learn more about this duel.
Kill Cliff Fight Club fighter Ilia Topuria is set to be one of the first KCFC combatants to headline a televised main event when Topuria takes on Josh Emmett Saturday, June 24, at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida, at UFC Fight Night: Emmett vs. Topuria. Sounds good, doesn’t it?
The featherweights top the main card in a 13-battle matinee session that begins with preliminaries at 11:30 a.m. ET. The top bill begins at 3 p.m. ET. Catch the action live on ESPN and ESPN+.
The fight should be a good one, with neither No. 9 Topuria and No. 5 Emmett accustomed to losing very often. In fact, the KCFC rep is a whopping 13-0 as a pro, coming off a Performance of the Night bout with Bryce Mitchell submitting in the second round in December’s UFC 282. Of his 13 pro fights, Topuria has won nine times in the first round.
Of course, Emmett isn’t one to sleep on: He has his own six first-round finishes and his own most-recent second-round submission victory against Yair Rodriguez in UFC 284 in February.
Topuria may topline the bill but another other KCFC fighter will be joining him in the UFC Fight Night warmup room: KCFC’s Brendan Allen takes on Bruno Silva in the middleweight main card bout.
Allen, 21-5, is boasting a four fight win streak and if his 12 victories by submission is any indication, he’ll be looking to take Silva to the ground early and often to avoid Silva’s damaging strikes. Veteran Silva is 23-8 as a pro, but 1-2 in his last three bouts.
Also in the warmup room with his KCFC gym-mates is Loik Radzhabov in a prelim battle with fellow lightweight Mateusz Rębecki. Loik’s record weighs in at 17-4-1 as a pro to Mateusz’s formidable 17-1, 14 of them IN A ROW. Time to stop that streak is…now.
