When he hits the big money, Kill Cliff Fight Club’s Ange Loosa says he’s going to buy a house for his mother and build a gym for himself. And if he could spar with anyone from history, it would be Mike Tyson.
The Tyson fight will have to wait, but the house and gym are growing closer on the “Last Ninja’s” horizon as the welterweight is set to make his third UFC appearance Saturday during UFC Fight Night: Gane vs. Spivac, live from Accor Arena in Paris, France. The European promotion explains the 12:30 p.m. ET prelims start time on ESPN+. The main card kicks off at 3 p.m. ET.
Loosa, 9-3, takes on Rhys “Skeletor” McKee, 13-4-1, who is coming off three Cage Warriors victories in a row; he’s lost both of his UFC bouts, which bodes well for Loosa, who told us his favorite day at Kill Cliff FC’s Florida facility is Monday, when he trains for wrestling and kickboxing. “I know I’ve achieved my goal for the session if I do all the plan I fixed before the session.”
We expect he’s earned his favorite cheat meal: pizza and dessert.
On Friday, KCFC’s Darion Abbey, 6-3, looks to keep his four-win streak going against David White, 2-3, during Cage Fury Fighting Championships: Perez vs. Vasil. The heavyweight bout can be seen on UFC Fight Pass beginning at 7 p.m. ET, with the main card beginning at 9 p.m. ET at Parx Casino in Bensalem, PA.
When we asked Abbey who their fantasy sparring partner would be, it really WAS a fantasy: “It would have to be Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z,” he said. “The guy is run off pride and I would want to see if I could break it.”
Ummmkay.
Abbey’s favorite cheat food is cheese steak (yes!), and his favorite day at the KCFC training ground is also Monday, like teammate Loosa.
“I love our Monday night kickboxing classes! But my best day is sparring, when I get to test myself with some of the best guys in my division and pushes me to be better. I know it’s a good session if I’m limping or can’t feel my arms!”
