It's a monumental weekend for Kill Cliff Fight Club (KCFC) fighters as they gear up for intense battles at Bellator 298 and UFC Fight Night. With headlining bouts, UFC debuts, and an array of matchups, KCFC's dominance in the MMA world is on full display. Stay tuned for an action-packed weekend of high-stakes clashes and exhilarating showdowns!
It’s a HUGE weekend for the fighters and trainers at Kill Cliff Fight Club. KCFC’s Logan Storley and Brennan Ward’s welterweight battle is the main attraction for the main card at Bellator 298: Storley vs. Ward. But before that epic throwdown happens, no fewer than five other KCFC athletes will climb into the cage to do battle, two of them making Bellator debuts.
It will air on Showtime beginning at 10 p.m. ET, live from Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
(Meanwhile, on Saturday at UFC Fight Night, KCFC’s Luque Vincente is at the top of the main card for his bout with Rafael Dos Anjos. What other MMA gym in the world can claim to have two headliners, two UFC debuts, and a total of seven fighters in nationally televised promotions? You can see UFC on ESPN and ESPN+ beginning at 7 p.m. ET.)
KCFC’s Steve Mowry challenges Valentin Moldavsky in the heavyweight co-main event in the fight right before teammate Storley. Russia’s Moldavsky is 11-3 as a pro to Mowry’s impressive 10-0; it’s 10 wins in a row but his last two matches have been a draw and an no contest (eye poke). He’ll be looking to get a decisive conclusion to this one. By the way, his nickname is “Tall.” He’s 6’8 with a 79-inch reach. Moldavsky is 6’1 with a 75-inch reach. Should be a good one.
KCFC’s Aaron Jeffrey, 13-4, faces Dalton Rosta, 8-0, in the middleweight attraction, making it THREE KCFC fighters in a row at the top of the main card.
Also on that main card is KCFC lightweight Sidney Outlaw, 16-1, taking on Islam Mamedov, 22-2-1.
Meanwhile, in the prelims:
“I had another year of college wrestling on the table following an All-American year, but I knew this is something I wanted to do for a very long time,” KCFC’s Michael Blockhus told us. The University of Minnesota grappler-turned-MMA pro makes his Bellator debut Friday. The Iowa native might have a few friends and family in the Sioux Falls arena as he faces Eli Mefford, who has never won in four pro fights.
Also making his Bellator debut is KCFC featherweight Jordan Oliver, another grappling standout from Oklahoma State who was on the 2020 U.S. Olympics wrestling team. He takes on Andrew Triolo, 0-1.
