Joaquin Buckley, known as the "Kill Cliff Killer," has boldly called out undefeated Shavkat Rakhmonov for a fight at UFC Tampa in August. Buckley, riding a four-fight win streak, is eager to take on top contenders.
Joaquin Buckley is making waves in the MMA world with his recent bold callout. Fresh off a winning streak and known for his dynamic personality, Buckley has set his sights on an undefeated opponent: Shavkat Rakhmonov. Taking to social media platform X, Buckley proposed a showdown against the Kazakh phenom for the upcoming UFC Tampa card this August.
In classic Buckley fashion, he didn’t hold back when calling out Rakhmonov, especially after Jack Della Maddalena had to withdraw from his scheduled fight due to an infected arm.
"Poor Jack Jack. F*** Fighting in Perth but Tampa Card August Against @Rakhmonov1994 What ya think? #KillCliffKiller." - Joaquin Buckley via X.
Shavkat Rakhmonov, with a perfect 18-0 record and a 100% finish rate, is one of the most promising contenders in the welterweight division. Since joining the UFC in 2020, he has been unstoppable. His latest fight saw him submit veteran Stephen Thompson in the second round, a feat that had never been accomplished before.
Joaquin Buckley is currently riding high on a four-fight win streak, most recently securing a unanimous decision win over Nursulton Ruziboev. Known as the "Kill Cliff Killer," Buckley has previously defeated several fighters from Kill Cliff FC, including Vicente Luque and Andre Fialho. His recent callout of Gilbert Burns shows his desire to take on top talent, and now he’s aiming for Rakhmonov.
Joaquin "New Mansa" Buckley recently revealed his disappointment over a missed opportunity to fight at UFC 304 in Manchester. Originally lined up for a high-profile bout against Michael "Venom" Page, the fight fell through for undisclosed reasons.
"I was supposed to fight in Manchester, but the person [Page] moved on." - Joaquin Buckley via Middle Easy.
Both Buckley and Page are known for their spectacular knockout highlights and audacious techniques. The matchup promised to be a thrilling encounter, but it wasn't meant to be. Page is now set to fight Irishman Ian Garry at UFC 303 instead.
